This craft is wonderfully customizable. You can make a whole “choir” of angels with different hair colors, skin tones, and dress patterns!
Supplies Required:
- Cupcake Liners (White, gold, or patterned)
- Craft Paper (For the face and hair)
- Golden/Shiny Paper (For the halo)
- Scissors
- Craft Glue
- Sharpies (To draw the peaceful expressions)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Create the Body
Flatten a cupcake liner and fold it into a triangle shape (like a slice of pizza). This will be your angel’s gown. If you want a fuller dress, you can stack two liners together!
2. Prepare the Wings
Take a second cupcake liner and cut it in half. Glue these two halves to the back of your “gown” triangle so they peek out from the sides like wings.
3. Face and Hair
Trace and cut a small circle for the face and a matching shape for the hair. As mentioned, feel free to celebrate diversity by using a beautiful range of skin-tone papers and hair textures!
4. The Golden Halo
Cut a small ring out of your golden paper. Glue it to the back of the head so it creates a shiny frame. If you’re out of gold paper, a yellow circle or even a pipe cleaner works perfectly.
5. Assemble and Detail
Glue the head onto the top point of the gown. Use your Sharpies to draw closed eyes and a little smile. If you want to hang this on a tree, simply loop a piece of string or ribbon and tape it to the back!
